THE STORY
Why we exist.
In 2021, James Whitfield was Head of Performance at a £50M/yr DTC brand. He'd hired three different "TikTok agencies" in 12 months and fired all three. Not because the work was lazy — because none of them had ever actually run TikTok Shop ads for a product brand. They'd run awareness campaigns. Influencer campaigns. They had no idea how VSA attribution worked, how affiliate commission structures should be modelled, or how to read a TikTok Shop Seller Centre dashboard.
He built what he couldn't hire. Growllo launched in 2022 with one client and a simple rule: no one joins the team who hasn't operated these channels in-house at a brand doing real revenue. We've stayed at 12 people on purpose. We don't want to be a 50-person agency with junior account managers doing the actual work.
Every Growllo client gets a senior operator who has been in the exact situation they're in. That's the only reason our ROAS numbers look the way they do.
